- Challenging on the same stage two conflicting musical genres, classical and pop, Amadeus band - Andreea (violin), Alexandra (violin), Cristina (keyboards) and Patricia (cello) managed to break all musical patterns and become one of the most original troops in Europe. With a modern and refined sound, Amadeus evolved into a truly electric show, Amadeus won first the Romanian audience and reached at international level very quickly.
In autumn of 2000, the composer Adrian Ordean had to fulfill a dream: to form a band only instrumental but also very current. The selection criteria were severe and based on a unique idea: four girls with bold looks, playing electric instruments and pop-dance rhythms combining them virtuosity with classical instruments. Because he wanted the girls to be very good performers, and that meant they should have specialist training, the musician went straight to the target, specifically the school of music of George Enescu and the Music Academy in Bucharest. Thus, in November of 2000, the four girls from Amadeus started together along the road.
From 2000 until now, Amadeus released five LPs and has now a very rich and diverse repertoire. The songs are suitable for all tastes: from pop-dance, jazz, Latin to Irish folk music, Romanian folk and themes taken from famous classical music.
Because of the fresh musical style, full of naturalness, Amadeus had a great climbing in people's preferences, being spoiled by the media and invited in many places to participate in the most diverse types of events.
One year from their asserting on the Romanian music scene, Amadeus released their first pop-dance-classic style album in Romania, called Continental. This album is inspired from around the world and has ten songs of folklore in many countries.
MediaPro Music released the album that contains ten instrumental tracks, performed by Andreea (violin), Cristina (piano), Alexandra (electric violin), and Gratiela (electric bass). The songs, including Latino, Country, Belfast, Pizza, 4x4 or Winter Dream were signed by the composer Adrian Ordean.
In 2003 Amadeus launched the album Meridian. It contains 10 tracks, positive, with more difficulty in terms of composition, which demonstrates once again the talent and dexterity of the girls to handle instruments. The songs are easy to remember, revealing the classical elements of Romanian folk influences, Arabian and eastern Asian ones. Briefly we can mention exotic and modern sounds signed by Adrian Ordean.
After an album with classical orientation and one with international folk nuances, in 2004 the girls from Amadeus completed their discography with a new album, a maturity expression of the group. The new disc, entitled Freedom is a succession of states which are outside the daily rhythm of the city, away from reckless and pragmatic world's jogging after money. Freedom (Freedom) is an album to be listened closely to understand the feeling or state of liberation in terms of instruments and the interpretation of the Amadeus Quartet.
After a pause on the music scene in 2007, for all Amadeus fans the waiting has ended! For lovers of classical music combined with the modern one, Amadeus released the album The Island, a project that represents a return for Cristina, Andreea, Alexandra and Patricia a local musical landscape.
In 2009, Amadeus launched another new concept album. Besides a new album, the four girls in the band prepared a presentation of the new concept for all fans.
