Alegretto Children’s Choir, founded in 1974, part of National Children’s Palace from Bucharest, had from start performances recorded for radio and TV.
The choir had a great artistic activity, meaning 800 performances and concerts, 400 overseas.
During its activity a large number of spectators were present, who listened with delight the songs, among them : John Paul II, Laura Bush, presidents of some countries including Italy, Jordan, Morocco, Belgium and the Netherlands. During its activity the choir played alongside music personalities of the world : soprano Mariana Nicolesco,nominated UNESCO Artist for Peace in 2005, Michael Jackson, Toto Cutugno, Rita Pavone, Richard Clayderman.
The choir was founded by Adriana Codreanu, graduater of Ciprian Porumbescu National University of Music from Bucharest, then joining Radu Gherasim Chirita, master of sound and music illustrator.
Alegretto Choir won over 80 awards at national and international festivals.
The choir performed on prestigious stages as : the National Opera in Athens, the scene Tognolo Theater Venice, BBC TV Studios, Royal Club in Amman, Jordan, the National Opera of Warsaw, Metropolitan Theater in Ciudad de Mexico, the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
